Soon this dangerous knowledge leads to Fran's disappearance and Juliette's investigative reporter's nose getting her in a whole lot of trouble. Juli begins writing an explosive series of exposes under the alias "Julius Carulli." a review by Robert K. Swisher Jr.

Dorothy Mercer must have carefully researched The Arlington Alias which is greatly appreciated as I read many mysteries that are set somewhere off in the writer's fantasy land. At the center of the novel is the crime of human trafficking. Having been raised on the Texas and Mexican border I have been aware of human trafficking before it was picked up by the main stream press. But sadly, the main source of crime is demand. But so it goes. What is nice about fiction is it can solve problems in a set number of pages and life goes on in a better way. I enjoyed the book. The dabs of humor. The interactioin of people in love. The look into organized crime which changes daily as technology changes. Dorothy spins a good story, keeping the reader turning the pages until the exciting end. If you like fact based mysteries, good plot, and down to earth characters you will enjoy this novel.

Dorthy my friend you did it again. Right on with the evil happenings of today and with my two favorite people.
Mike never let's me down, and Julie is so smart. And Lady Dog, wish I had one like her,
Great story line and a wonderful read.
Will there be more, I hope?
Donna Marie Shafer
This book was engrossing and interesting. I learned a lot about the subject. It pulled together in the end very quickly and I wondered if things really work that smoothly in real life? I hope so. The smuggling of people needs to be stopped.
A great story that you can't put down. Very intriguing, with danger, human trafficking, organ transplants, smuggling, murders, and a dog that is a hero. The author captures the aspects of slavery in our world woven in a fantastic story.
An in depth look into human trafficking, this story will keep you on edge. The author does a great job at keeping the reader interested by making the story so incredibly realistic. The characters are believable and the story flows easily while being intricate enough to keep you thinking. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Another great story by Dorothy May Mercer, again Mike and Juli are the main characters, now married, they still form a formidable partnership in the solving of this complex novel of intrigue and corruption of human trafficking.

Lady dog again is a scene stealer at times.

I would certainly recommend this story as an excellent detective story that you will not want to put down.
Arlington Alias is an exciting, fast paced story filled with danger and maneuvers to avoid capture or death by unscrupulous crime lords. Unspeakable crimes were committed and an investigative reporter, Juliette McBride, puts her life on the line to uncover the ring leaders, however high she must go to weed out corruption. Not only is her life in jeopardy, but her Senator husband, Mike McBride volunteers to help her. Their combined effort to dig out the truth keeps the reader on the edge of the seat, turning page after page to the end. Read Arlington Alias to join in the chase. An excellent read!
Human trafficking is a heinous crime and sadly not diminished by the campaigns to halt it. We should blame the traffickers but not forget that the people demanding the "Goods" are as bad, or worse than those who deliver them.

This is a great thriller for so many reasons. It is believable, well researched, and informative into the shady world of organised crime. Julie and Mike, the husband and wife team work well together investigating these despicable criminals, and in keeping their marriage fresh.

The writing is engaging right from page one and continues in an easy flow right to the end. Again, Ms Mercer has come up with a wonderfully written story.
